I work best with:
People who are seeking the life their younger selves longed for but did not have access to, and people who want to heal the wounds of their younger selves that may still be carried.
I work well with folks interested in:
incorporating this work with younger selves into the therapy
exploring, identifying, and healing the impact of internalized shame & anti-queer stigma
exploring how to feel more okay, free, and aligned as they inhabit their authentic identities
I am skilled at supporting folks who are: survivors of conversion therapy and religious trauma, part of BDSM/kink communities, poly/CNM, coming out “later,” and/or navigating family of origin challenges.
what’s a typical session like?
I start every 50 minute therapy appointment in the same way: by asking you 1) how you’re doing in that moment, and 2) what would you like to spend time with that day. This is your space, you decide how we use it. Sometimes, people don’t know what they want to spend time with and together we explore what feels helpful.
At each appointment, my goal is for you to feel like I get you - that you feel listened to and understood without any judgement. I will ask questions, share information or observations when helpful, listen a lot, and invite you to try a thing or two to explore something more deeply or practice things that could help you feel better.
